I agree with Barack Obama's quote that "Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." When individuals want to do a "change", they should not be afraid and wait to commit to that change. Instead they should be pro-active and brainstorm on ideas to figure out how to solve the change and get the public aware of the change and the reasons for the change. I think this involves second order change because second order change "considers leadership to be an act of mentoring and empowering the general membership to contribute to the organization." Second order change allows people to collaborate and wind up with many ideas about how to do the change and people can ask others and gain contacts with people who are in higher positions in society. The people who are in the higher positions can help with resources and getting the message about the change more known.
In middle school, I was in model united nations and we were in groups and chose a country where we wanted to make a change. We worked and collaborated together to come up with ideas of how to do the change. By working in a group, we  were able to think of more creative and interesting ideas and got work done more efficiently.
